We are introducing important updates in our next Rollouts release scheduled for 5-15 November 2025. These changes may require updates in your automation or integration processes.

Change: Action fields status/detailstatus will be changed/renamed to active/status (status semantic is changed).

You may need to take action if using Action Management REST API (/rest/v1/actions and /rest/v1/actions/{actionId}), and:

• searching actions by the status or detailstatus fields
• processing the status or detailStatus fields in the JSON responses.

This release finalizes the quota system with management API exposure, introduces export version transformation for module types, and enhances security with admin-only recipe deletion for promoted recipes.

This release introduces additional quotas and limits to enhance service operation and stability. It also includes usability enhancements such as improved error messages and automatic UI refresh.

The new release of Bosch IoT Rollouts comes with the several improvements and new features, including UI support of Multi-Factor Authentication, new Rollout 'stop' action, new Service Integration Event messages and more.

There is now a UI preview available for the new role management with possibility to scope the access rights to system-types. Additionally, a new validator has been introduced to enforce the presence of matching module-update definitions in a recipe, where the respective module-types have been configured in the system-type. Also, a new quota for the maximum number of systems has been introduced and some small UI bugs have been fixed.

Our latest UI Release comes with the several improvements and new features in DistributionSetType and TargetTag Detail blades

This update introduces fine-grained resource limits based on service plans, new metrics and quota systems, UI enhancements for monitoring quotas, and improved user guidance by disabling unauthorized actions in the UI.

This update aims to streamline recipe management, improve system audit capabilities, and provide a more intuitive user experience.

This release introduces new features for assigning system types to systems, either through update reports or matching recipes, and enhances the handling of recipe tags with bulk deletion, searching, and filtering options. Improvements include better user guidance by deactivating unavailable actions, hardening the service against misuse with limits on bulk-tagging, and enhancing the sorting of text columns in the UI. Several bugs have also been fixed, including issues with cursor-based paging and error handling in the error report API.

The new release of Bosch IoT Rollouts comes with several security and performance improvements, along with an all-new central Swagger UI.

This release significantly improves bulk recipe actions, allowing you to edit and export up to 50 recipes at a time with enhanced error handling and tag support. It also introduces recipe-type specific signing keys for improved security. UI enhancements include persistent column sorting and centralized API documentation.

This release introduces bulk editing capabilities in the UI, enabling users to update up to 50 recipes at once. System distribution sets can now be added or removed across multiple recipes, and metadata fields can be added to existing values, fully replaced, or selectively deleted by key. Additional enhancements include sortable columns across multiple entity types in both the UI and API, new recipe-type validator rules for verifying system distribution sets and tag assignments, limitations on module-types included in system-types, and fixes for several UI-related bugs.

This release introduces new features for configuring recipe-type validators via the UI, extends the Management API with new endpoints and filter options, improves the scoping for selecting IoT Rollouts entities, and fixes several bugs related to recipe imports and creation.

This release brings enhancements to both productivity and security. Users can now approve multiple tasks at once with the new bulk approval feature, streamlining workflows and saving time. Additionally, administrators can now whitelist specific OAuth clients to bypass MFA during approval processes, offering greater flexibility for trusted applications. The release also includes critical security patches and various performance and reliability improvements across the system.

This release introduces bulk actions for recipe validation and deletion, as well as recipe-type specific validation rules including distribution set assignment and customizable metadata validation. It also includes improvements to system deletion reporting and actuator health endpoint reliability, and fixes several UI bugs.

This release includes a list of exciting new features that make recipe creation even more efficient and secure.

Creating module update definitions for recipes is now easier and more robust. When adding a new definition, default values (name, module query, count query, and description) are automatically populated from the associated module type. Distribution sets are also validated against the module type, ensuring compatibility and streamlining recipe creation. Additionally, system types can now be filtered by module type in both the UI and API.

This release connects recipe types with system types and introduces enhanced UI management for system types, including distribution set and module type configurations, improved traceability and visibility, and new filter and search capabilities. Additionally, it includes improvements in distribution set type references and security enhancements for the service API.

This release helps you to boost your productivity by using bulk actions for recipes. In addition, the new system types complete the introduction of the SOUP type system in a first iteration.

With this release we welcome module types on the stage of system software update. Module types are an extension of the IoT Rollouts target type. In this first increment, they hold default queries and metadata. In future, they will be utilized by system types for classifying systems and by recipe types to validate update compatibility. As the recipe type journey continues, the first recipe type specific validator is introduced. While this release already presents the validator in the details of the recipe type, creation and modification is only possible via the Management API yet.
